24th June 2014- Queen's Baton Relay

This morning the Queen's Baton signalling the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow was passing not far from my door & what a good chance to get out and do a style of photography that I don't do very often?

The Baton started in Denny at 8am and despite it being early there was a real buzz- School kids lined the route and the cheering for the Baton carriers was fantastic.  The following photographs are from a  small action of the Denny Baton route.

The Baton then moved onto Larbert & Stenhousemuir. Again the locals were a credit to the area and the smiles of the carriers could easily be seen by all around. The following photos are from a small section of the run.

We were very lucky with the weather during the run and i hope that the rest of the Baton Relay as it makes it a much better experience for all involved.

I hope that you enjoy this small blog and have got a little bit of the atmosphere of the event.
